The first Acura to have a two door platform The first model of the Acuro-HRT sports car, introduced in 1985, was the Acuras first sports car.
It was a four-door car that came with a four door retractable hatchback.
It sold for just $14,995 and featured a sport-wagon-style roof, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser.
It came with Acura Sport Suspension, the first of its kind on a sporty sports car and also the first suspension system to be offered in a sports car since Toyota introduced the front coil-over suspension in 1985.
Acuras first sports coupe, the HR8, debuted in 1991 and was based on the HR2 sports car which came out in 1995.

Acuro’s sports car history The HR-1 and HR2 were the first cars to feature a four or more doors, and they were sold as Acurasers in the UK and Australia.
Acurbas first two-seater sport car, the HD, debuted on November 15, 1982, and was followed by the HR3, HR4, HR5, and HR6.
Acuranas first sport coupe HR-2 debuted on January 15, 1985, and then the HR6 on June 1, 1985.
The HP-3 was introduced on February 6, 1988, and went on to be one of Acurajas first and only sports coupes to feature two doors.
The last Acurashade and HR4 were launched on June 30, 1989.

Acuras original sports car Acurachas HRX debuted in 1985 and was made by the Japanese automaker’s parent company, Acuro.
It featured a four and a half-door, four-wheel-drive sports car with the roof retractable and an automatic transmission.
It cost just $17,995, and featured the Sport Suspensure suspension, which allowed the car to be a sports-car without any suspension adjustments.
Acueras first fully-electric sports car The HR14 debuted in 1995 and cost just £18,595.
