The game from a company known for the Apex series of video games is now getting an official title: Apex Legends.
The game is available for pre-order right now for $9.99, and there are plans to add the title in the future.
In an interview with IGN, developer Apex Games producer Nick Zemlin described the title as a remake of the original game.
“The title Apex Legends is a reimagining of the legendary first-person shooter Apex,” Zemlins said.
“This time, the game takes place on a large-scale global stage and the gameplay is much more open-ended, allowing players to roam freely around the world, as well as the environments.”
For example, if you are on a beach in the middle of nowhere, and a group of friends are trying to catch a glimpse of a group that just landed in the sea, they can explore the entire globe without ever getting lost.
“While the title has not been officially announced, it is expected to include the same level of challenge as the original Apex game, which was released in 2013.”
We wanted to make sure that players could really dive into the world of Apex and really explore all the places that the game has to offer,” Zemslin said.
