The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild may not be the biggest game of all time, but its price tag is no joke.
The Wii U title, which debuted in April of this year, retails for $59.99, and its release was originally set for the holiday season.
Its launch was delayed until May 20, and a second launch was held on July 6, only for it to be cancelled.
But this weekend, Breath of Wild finally launches for $49.99 and it is already on sale at stores nationwide.
This is not the first time a Zelda game has been retailed at a discount.
In May of 2017, Nintendo released the Zelda: Twilight Princess HD for $19.99 on Nintendo eShop, which sold out in minutes.
And last year, Nintendo also launched Zelda: Ocarina of Time HD for the Wii U at a price of $39.99.
These games are great value, especially for the first and second time through, but it’s worth noting that the Zelda games are available on both platforms.
That said, if you’re looking to spend your hard-earned money on a Zelda title that isn’t on sale, you’re out of luck.
