The addition of Domi is one of the biggest reasons they are currently looking at signing a top-six forward.
Domi, who turns 22 in August, is the only forward who has played at least 100 games in each of the past three seasons.
Domis’ play has improved each season since joining the Jets.
He has scored 12 goals and 36 points in 59 games this season.
He was third among forwards with 7.2 points per game.2.: Connor McDavidThe Edmonton Oilers are trying to find their next star player, but it’s not just McDavid who is available.
They also have two players who could play alongside him in Edmonton, Tyler Pitlick and Jordan Etem.
Pitlicks goal in Saturday’s 3-2 win over the Calgary Flames was the lone goal the Oilers scored in a 3-0 win over Nashville.
Etem’s goal on Saturday was his fifth in six games.3.: Nicklas BackstromThe Colorado Avalanche are currently without their captain, but that doesn’t mean they are not trying to get back into the race for the playoffs.
Avalanche forward Nicklas Bergstrom has five goals and six points in 19 games this year.
Bergstrom is one-half of the Avalanche duo of P.K. Subban and Nathan MacKinnon who have four goals and seven points in 20 games.4.: Nathan MacInjuries have plagued MacKamp’s career.
He missed five games after fracturing his left wrist in a playoff game in 2016 and has missed six games this campaign with a foot injury.
He is expected to play against the New York Rangers on Friday night.5.: Ryan NugensThis was a big year for Nugens.
He scored 27 goals and 65 points in 77 games last season.
Nugens played for the Anaheim Ducks this season after being traded from the Vancouver Canucks.
His two goals and four points in 10 games this past season were the most by a Nugens forward since he scored 20 goals and 55 points in 81 games in 2014-15.6.: Tyler PitlovThis year is a big step forward for Pitlov, who has 15 goals and 27 points in 38 games this postseason.
Pitlov’s four goals in six playoff games are his best since he had six goals and 17 points in 15 games in the first round of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
He also scored a goal and an assist in Game 1 of the first-round series against the Pittsburgh Penguins.7.: Maxime TalbotThe Montreal Canadiens are hoping to be the surprise team of the post-season.
The Canadiens are looking for their first post-playoff appearance since 2005.
Montreal’s top scorer is in his third season with the Canadiens.
